Here We Go Again!

So I started this post 15 days ago when I completed day one of Bikini Body Mommy and I just couldn't get the words out to finish the post and get it out. I competed day two and still couldn't get the words to finish. Then came day 10 when I was so grateful that I didn't end up posting about my workouts because I had only completed 2 days! Then during day 10's guilt I was texting with my workout buddy from Colorado. We both knew we needed to be working out. We both decided that we were going to make the commitment to the BBM community again. And then we both failed miserably. So on day 10 she tells me she's joining a Diet Bet  to help her stay committed to making the changes she needed. We talked a lot about it and I decided to bring it up to Hubby. I needed his support in making this decision to spend money on a bet that would hopefully keep me committed to making changes. Thirty dollars isn't a lot of money but it is enough money to be missed when we are ...

Bikini Body Mommy Challenge Update!

So we are starting week 8 (I think). It's been a few weeks since I have officially sat down and updated on how I have been doing. Week 6 I did pretty good. The 4 am workouts were starting to wear on me so I decided to try and get a workout in after my hubby left for work but before the kids got up. Some days that went OK and other days not so well. I did however get several workouts in with the boys awake and they went pretty well. Monkey tired to join in with me and it was quite fun to watch. Of course he couldn't keep up with the workouts and took many breaks but it was fun to have him involved. This week I plan to do cardio days at 4 am in the gym because they are easier than trying to complete in the house. But for the non-cardio days I will do them in the house in the morning. That way I'm not completely exhausted everyday. Now for week 7. I have no idea even what the workouts were for last week. I didn't even look once! I have good reason though. My hubby h...

Week 4 & 5 Complete! Bikini Body Mommy Challenge Update

Sorry for not being around to update. My time has been devoted to my boys and to purging which I haven't yet been able to share with you either. My workouts haven't been daily like they are suppose to be but I'm still managing about 4 a week. Most days that I don't get an actual workout completed is because I've been so busy running around that I just don't have time. So at least it's not because I'm just sitting around. Last week Briana had us do 100 lounges in 4 minutes! It was crazy hard and I wasn't able to get the full 100 in but I will tell you this that my legs were KILLING me! It was ridiculous! I'm sure it is going to be worth it. I haven't noticed any changes on the scale or in my waist measurements but my clothes are starting to feel a little bigger, I feel like my shape has changed and I'm more toned, and I've lost finger fat ;) because I can finally wear my wedding ring! Hubby is pleased with that! We actually got ...

Week 3 Complete of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge

Yep that is right 3 weeks down! I completed week 3 of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge even with sick kids in the house and sleeping on a horrible mattress on the floor of the boys room! It's done! Completely behind me! Of course I only have 10 more weeks ahead of me. I really can't wait until the weeks behind me are more than the weeks ahead of me! Having sick kiddos really did slow me down last week. I had to double up on workouts instead of getting them in everyday. It also made going to the grocery store nearly impossible so getting healthy foods in the house was not something that happened. So this week wasn't one of my best weeks. But that's OK. I did the best with what I had. That isn't limited to the kitchen. I mean with the little energy that I had too. So week 3 is complete! I have made my first Paleo focused meal plan for this week and even hit the store today even though it was snowing and cold. I was able to take my hubby to The Rodizio Grill f...

Week 2 of Bikini Body Mommy Challenge!

So here's to completing week 2 on the BBM challenge ! It wasn't a bad week but it wasn't a great week either. I would call it a just OK week. This week I struggled with some of the same problems as last week. Overeating and cravings. I only  struggled on the days that I wasn't using the  Slim & Sassy  essential oil which proves to me it works!  I struggled with my natural night owl quiet time my body craves which made my morning workouts nearly impossible to accomplish. No early workouts meant less energy to get things accomplished during the day and meant we were always running late. This was bugging me because I was really enjoying getting things done and not being the mom that is always behind. But enough of why it was a bad week. Let's focus on the good! I completed 4 out of 6 workouts! I completed some with sick kids. I was able to be there for my boys as they struggled with coming down with a cold. I drank several shakes last week to keep ...

Week 1 of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge!

I've successfully completed week one of the BBM challenge ! It wasn't an easy workout each day but it was worth it. I can feel that my body's changing! I'm so excited! I ended up not eating on track all week but overall I did good so I'm giving myself grace! I was successful on most days of doing my 4 am workouts and I have to say on the days that I didn't get them in until later or at all I felt awful all day. I could hardly get anything accomplished. This week I'm getting back on track! I'm going to stick to healthy eating! I'm going to get in my early morning workouts and I'm going to get my housework done. I'm know if I stick to the first two I will have the energy to complete the 3rd! Here's to a great and healthy week! Share with me here in a comment or head over to my  Facebook  page on how you are living healthy this week!

Benefits to Rising Early!

Normally at this time of the morning I would still be sleeping. Not sound asleep but still sleeping. Of course that's because I'm a night owl and love staying up late. I know there are many more benefits to rising early than staying up at night but it's hard not to just enjoy the peace and quiet of the night curled up on the couch vegging out watching my favorite shows. But everything is different now! I've changed my schedule and although today is only day 2 I'm loving it! I have found so many benefits to rising early! First look at the list I have already completed this morning and it's only 7:15! 45 Minute Cardio Workout Complete Breakfast for the hubby before he left for work Showered, Dressed, Hair Dried and Make-up on (make-up never happens) Bed Made Laundry in the washer Laundry from yesterday folded and put away Dishwasher unloaded and reloaded (my goal is to never have dishes in my sink in the morning, still catching up) This blog post...

New Year Means Changes!

I don't really believe in making New Year's Resolutions because it seems more often than not they end up being lost shortly after making them. This year I am setting some goals and changing things up a bit. I feel this year is a little different because I have been slowly working on changing my daily habits for a few months now. I want to make some big changes in my life! I want to lose weight! I want to eat more healthy! And I want to keep my house clean and organized which I think will be my biggest struggle.  I slowly started working out several months ago and just before Christmas I started eating more healthy and making sure I was getting enough fruits and veggies into my diet. Making these small changes has helped me gain energy and it going to help me lose weight now that all the holiday food is out of the house. Now it's time to jump in with both feet! So here's what is changing...           ● I'm changing my wor...

What to do when your spouse isn't supportive of your health journey!

So what do you do when your husband isn't supporting you on your health journey? Do you tell him to suck it up? Do you give up and just keep going with whatever makes him happy? Do you try and rearrange your schedule to make it more comfortable for him?  I think it is a combination of them all.  See I have been working out now for several months but just recently I've really hit it hard when I finally found my want to . In the last 3 weeks I have been working out 5 to 6 times a week at night after everyone is in bed. During those 3 weeks my husband has been working 12+ hour days 6 to 7 days a week so we haven't seen each other much. It's been a bit crazy and he misses us. So I can't blame him when he's not thrilled to see me heading to the gym again. But I have to! I have to keep going! I only have 51 pounds to lose and I think I can do that in 6 months if I just stick to it and work really hard. If I can accomplish my goal in 6 months that isn'...

I Still Have My Want To!

Yes I'm proud to say my want to has not faded! I still want to work out! I still want to eat healthier options! And I am learning to love cooking new recipes! I love that my want to wasn't just a fly by the night experience! I have consistently been working out 5 to 6 times a week. I'm eating health the majority of the time and I'm seeing results! The results are small but they are still changes! This last week I lost 1.6 pounds and 1/2 inch from my waist! I'm super excited! Now I just need to keep it up through next week and make workouts priority even through the holidays. My favorite quote is this... I'm going to continue on this path and start a new challenge I will share with you later on January 6th! I can't wait to see the changes that are in my future!

I Finally Got It!

I finally got it! I finally found the right mindset for getting healthy! I have been back and forth on my workouts and no excuses either. I just haven't had my heart into it. I'd go and workout but not give it my all. I'd half way eat right but still give into temptation way to often. And I'm paying for it! No Changes! It's really a bummer because I have been working out now for several months and I could have been much happier this holiday season by wearing some of my favorite winter clothes but instead here I am back at my starting weight. See I was starting to get more into it and starting to think about caring a little bit more and then we got hit with a cold! A coughing cold nonetheless which makes working out nearly impossible. So I'm in the middle of my 4th week with this stupid cold and it's almost gone but just feel like lingering a little longer. During the first 3 weeks of the cold I didn't workout and I gave into almost every cravin...

Workout Plan!

Here's my workout plan to keep me going! Trainer Monday, Wednesday, Friday with a full body workout with weights!  Home cardio workout using DVDs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! Rest Sunday for having such a great workout week! The DVD I'm using right now is Jillian Michaels, Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism! It's a killer workout but quick enough that I can get it done during nap time or early in the morning before my day begins and still have time to shower! I have more of her DVDs and other workout DVDs that I will trade off after a month. I will share what new ones I'm using. Anyone out there not giving up this time? I'd love to hear your story and encourage you along your journey as well! Leave comments with your story or links back to your blog so I can come read. Also follow me on Facebook so we can keep each other encouraged that way too!

No More EXCUSES!

That's my new rule! I am not allowed to have anymore excuses! I'm going to achieve my FITNESS GOAL no matter what! I have my motivational phrases up all over the house! I warned the hubby that things might look a little crazy for awhile but I need those constant reminders! I have them on the time and motivation sucker, on the wall by the scale, the wall by the dining room, the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator, next to the bed to start my days out right and the silverware drawer (all pictured). But I also have them by the kitchen sink and the computer as well! I'm even thinking of adding some to my car if needed!                                                            I've hired personal trainer /friend to work out with be 3 times a week and to help me with my nutrition needs as well! I have set goals ...

Holy Sweat Moly Update

Since my last attempt at working out failed miserably because of everyday life happening I haven't been doing much. Now that the warm weather is here I have been doing much better! Not with doing an intense workout video but with walking almost every day.  To add to it I found some great apps that are helping me along my way. I use My Fitness Pal  to count my calories each day and I have found that during the week I'm pretty good and stay on track but when the weekend hits that's another story. Mostly because workouts just don't seem to fit in on the weekends. Each workout earns me extra calories for the day which helps out during the week. I normally don't use them all once I've added my workout in. So far this app has been great at helping me stay on track and seeing all the calories I'm consuming that I shouldn't be.  I also use  endomondo , the free version, to help track how much I'm walking and the speed I'm walking. It has been rea...

Holy Sweat Moly!

This week I have done 3 very intense workouts with Jillian Michaels   And on my gosh have I been sweating up a storm! And man my muscles on feeling it! My plan was to workout every morning but Tuesday and Thursday I just had no desire to do it and guess which days I felt the laziest and didn't get much accomplished...yet those days! Thursday I didn't even get dressed! I just didn't feel like doing anything! (I did do work around the house but nothing extra). Well today I felt like I did yesterday except I knew that I had to get my workout in! I felt so good and not even tired on Monday and Wednesday that I couldn't skip again...plus if I keep skipping then how am I ever going to lose the fat that I hate so much?  So even though the kids were up early, I had no motivation, and I just wanted to sit down and eat a big breakfast I didn't! I avoid the temptation of my normal fat inducing routine and did the 20 minute DVD! I got Pilot back to sleep (so I should b...
