Week 3 Complete of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge

Yep that is right 3 weeks down! I completed week 3 of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge even with sick kids in the house and sleeping on a horrible mattress on the floor of the boys room! It's done! Completely behind me! Of course I only have 10 more weeks ahead of me. I really can't wait until the weeks behind me are more than the weeks ahead of me! Having sick kiddos really did slow me down last week. I had to double up on workouts instead of getting them in everyday. It also made going to the grocery store nearly impossible so getting healthy foods in the house was not something that happened. So this week wasn't one of my best weeks. But that's OK. I did the best with what I had. That isn't limited to the kitchen. I mean with the little energy that I had too. So week 3 is complete! I have made my first Paleo focused meal plan for this week and even hit the store today even though it was snowing and cold. I was able to take my hubby to The Rodizio Grill f

Staying Healthy with Sick Kids

My poor boys have been sick for close to a week now and of course it's in the beginning of my Bikini Body Mommy Challenge and I've actually been doing really well with staying healthy. This is exactly what has thrown me off in the past and then I seem to never start again. This time I'm going to stay healthy through sickness! This is how... I'm still going to the gym in the early morning. Even though I'm up half the night with the boys and sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress in the boys room I'm making it a priority to still hit the gym. When I get back I go back to sleep in  mom sleep mode where I'm half awake so I can keep track of the boys once their awake but still get a little more rest. Since they are sick they are watching movies anyway. Still trying to eat healthy. Since I'm not taking my boys to the store when they are coughing so much. I'm stuck eating what's in the house. We don't have much that sounds good which means

Week 2 of Bikini Body Mommy Challenge!

So here's to completing week 2 on the BBM challenge ! It wasn't a bad week but it wasn't a great week either. I would call it a just OK week. This week I struggled with some of the same problems as last week. Overeating and cravings. I only  struggled on the days that I wasn't using the  Slim & Sassy  essential oil which proves to me it works!  I struggled with my natural night owl quiet time my body craves which made my morning workouts nearly impossible to accomplish. No early workouts meant less energy to get things accomplished during the day and meant we were always running late. This was bugging me because I was really enjoying getting things done and not being the mom that is always behind. But enough of why it was a bad week. Let's focus on the good! I completed 4 out of 6 workouts! I completed some with sick kids. I was able to be there for my boys as they struggled with coming down with a cold. I drank several shakes last week to keep

Discussion

Hi Ladies! I want to have a discussion about a few posts from another homemaking blog. There are 3 short posts and then head over to  Facebook  and lets have a conversation about what you think. Of course I will be sharing my own views too so come along and lets see what we all think! Post 1: Do you find Homemaking fulfilling? Post 2: Contributions of a Homemaker Post 3: Do Women Contribute to Society?  Let's make this fun! No judgement!

How to get more Fruits & Veggies

We all know we are suppose to have plenty of fruits and veggies in our diet to remain healthy. Of course there are other things we need as well but today's focus is fruits and veggies. When talking with a few friends we discovered that many of us struggled with mood conditions anxiety, depression, panic attacks, as well as weight issues. One of my friends shared how she was able to heal her anxiety and panic attacks through diet. By making sure she got 10 servings of fruits and veggies in the early part of the day she would feel full longer, have more energy, and feel less anxiety. She also shared that as long as she followed this plan she was mo longer having panic attacks. This inspired me to make some changes in the way I eat and the way I feed my boys. Remember back when we had our horrible health month  and then what followed after that was a death of someone very important to me and then the birth of Goose .Well I struggled with my mood after that. I would go up and d

Week 1 of the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge!

I've successfully completed week one of the BBM challenge ! It wasn't an easy workout each day but it was worth it. I can feel that my body's changing! I'm so excited! I ended up not eating on track all week but overall I did good so I'm giving myself grace! I was successful on most days of doing my 4 am workouts and I have to say on the days that I didn't get them in until later or at all I felt awful all day. I could hardly get anything accomplished. This week I'm getting back on track! I'm going to stick to healthy eating! I'm going to get in my early morning workouts and I'm going to get my housework done. I'm know if I stick to the first two I will have the energy to complete the 3rd! Here's to a great and healthy week! Share with me here in a comment or head over to my  Facebook  page on how you are living healthy this week!

Benefits to Rising Early!

Normally at this time of the morning I would still be sleeping. Not sound asleep but still sleeping. Of course that's because I'm a night owl and love staying up late. I know there are many more benefits to rising early than staying up at night but it's hard not to just enjoy the peace and quiet of the night curled up on the couch vegging out watching my favorite shows. But everything is different now! I've changed my schedule and although today is only day 2 I'm loving it! I have found so many benefits to rising early! First look at the list I have already completed this morning and it's only 7:15! 45 Minute Cardio Workout Complete Breakfast for the hubby before he left for work Showered, Dressed, Hair Dried and Make-up on (make-up never happens) Bed Made Laundry in the washer Laundry from yesterday folded and put away Dishwasher unloaded and reloaded (my goal is to never have dishes in my sink in the morning, still catching up) This blog post

New Year Means Changes!

I don't really believe in making New Year's Resolutions because it seems more often than not they end up being lost shortly after making them. This year I am setting some goals and changing things up a bit. I feel this year is a little different because I have been slowly working on changing my daily habits for a few months now. I want to make some big changes in my life! I want to lose weight! I want to eat more healthy! And I want to keep my house clean and organized which I think will be my biggest struggle.  I slowly started working out several months ago and just before Christmas I started eating more healthy and making sure I was getting enough fruits and veggies into my diet. Making these small changes has helped me gain energy and it going to help me lose weight now that all the holiday food is out of the house. Now it's time to jump in with both feet! So here's what is changing...           ● I'm changing my workouts from late night to EARL
