Here We Go Again!

So I started this post 15 days ago when I completed day one of Bikini Body Mommy and I just couldn't get the words out to finish the post and get it out. I competed day two and still couldn't get the words to finish. Then came day 10 when I was so grateful that I didn't end up posting about my workouts because I had only completed 2 days!

Then during day 10's guilt I was texting with my workout buddy from Colorado. We both knew we needed to be working out. We both decided that we were going to make the commitment to the BBM community again. And then we both failed miserably. So on day 10 she tells me she's joining a Diet Bet to help her stay committed to making the changes she needed. We talked a lot about it and I decided to bring it up to Hubby. I needed his support in making this decision to spend money on a bet that would hopefully keep me committed to making changes. Thirty dollars isn't a lot of money but it is enough money to be missed when we are trying to build a house, care for property, build a chicken coop and fix vehicles from random goose attacks and highway breakdowns. He wasn't thrilled about the idea but he has always supported me in getting healthy. And he remembers the changes I saw when I did Bikini Body Mommy the first time.So he said "Just remember, I'm not going to be happy if you lose that money." Which at first I wasn't happy with him for saying but then I realized it gave me more motivation to stick to it. If he would have not cared about the $30 then I wouldn't have cared either.

So today I just finished up day 15. It was a fit test day so we compare our scores to how we did day 1. Now of course if I had actually completed more than 5 days of the program I probably would have seen bigger differences but the important thing is that I still saw a difference. I even saw a difference today after digging holes for the fence we're putting up. I dug 9 holes all by myself that are about 12 inch squares and 2 feet deep just using a shovel and a post hole digger. It was really hard work and I was feeling my sore muscles last night but surprisingly I was fine when I got up this morning and through my workout! Between Bikini Body Mommy and the work we are doing currently and will be doing on our tiny house and property I should be building some awesome muscles!

Of course today my workout got pushed back in the day. We had a homeschool group playdate so we were sweating in the Oklahoma heat and humidity this morning and then I got to do it again for my workout. I'm not sure that afternoon workouts will be something I could do on a regular basis. By the end of it I was sweating so bad that I could hardly see. And being sweaty makes my glasses slippery and that means I have to take them off during certain moves which means I really can't see. But I'm not going to skip workouts just because I couldn't get them in before the heat hits.

Can't wait to see the changes I make! Of course I still need refine our diet and get this gluten free trim healthy mama thing down. But we're working on it and each day I do a little better!

Holiday Traditions?

I'm so excited to be co-hosting with Melissa! I have been a long time reader & finally got around to co-hosting! I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house? Bass Pro Shop Winter Wonderland to visit Santa Three wise men gifts  One Santa gift plus the stocking Baking cookies at Granny & Great Popa's house Baking cookies at Grandma & Popa's house with cousins & then heading to the local fire department & police station to share with the men & women that keep us safe throug

My Pregnancy Story with Monkey

So I have one of those crazy "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories. Yes I didn't know I was pregnant until I was pretty far along but I will get to that.  In May 2008 we picked up and moved out of state. At this time we had been completely off birth control for 2 years and nothing. We also found out when we first started trying that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)  which basically meant "good luck getting pregnant". We decided that we would start the adoption process if we were not pregnant by the time we were 30 so we had a few years (still do actually! Yeah God!) So we were just enjoying life in Oklahoma and enjoying the small town life. Every Sunday morning we would walk down the street and enjoy breakfast at Selena's, we'd sit on our front porch and talk with the neighbors, and visit family in town at least once a week. Starting close to October I started feeling like something was wrong with me so I went to the OU campus in Tu
