Meal Planning/Couponing

So our finances have changed and well I didn't have to really think about meal planning or how much I was spending at the store. Well now I do again so here I am going to do my first meal plan plus shopping list plan but there is only one problem...I don't feel like it.

We also have turned into a one car family so on Thursday's I get to borrow my dad's car for a mom's group day at the movies and while I have it I try to get a few other things done that need to be done. Today we did the movies and now I need to go to the library and the grocery store.

I'm going to get the ads, my coupon book, cookbooks, and paper so I can make my list!

Ok so with my coupons and just good deals I will buying this list.
Cantaloupe $.79
Cheez-Its $1.99 each when you buy 5 (not normally what I buy but we can't get organic right now)
Kellogg's Cereal $1.99 each when you buy 5 plus I have 2 coupons. One for $1 off 2 boxes and one for $1 off 3 boxes!
Gold Fish 5 for $5 Not sure I will actually get 5
Kroger Ice Cream 2/$5 (Hubby eats ice cream like crazy)
Mac & Cheese 4/$5
Hand Soap 5 for $5
Shampoo and Conditioner 2 for $5

Now I will do the rest of my list for food that I will cook with. Hopefully this will be a good amount of saving for us. I will post how I do!

  1. The cost of groceries have really gone up. We live on a budget and are continually having to increase the food portion. I loathe shopping time. I scour the sale ads as well. I am too lazy to deal with coupons, though. I try to "meal plan" but planning anything is difficult when you have a baby to care for. Getting to the store is hard enough! Good luck!

  2. I did pretty good. I saved almost $60 in sales and coupons but I learned some important lessons. #1 I have to take the coupons out of my binder as I put the items in my basket because otherwise I will forget some (which I did). I will be heading back to King Soopers to use the coupons I forgot to use.

WEDDING! Part 2: The Day Of

**Warning more Picture overload!** I couldn't help it! WEDDING DAY! (August 6, 2005) On our wedding day I was so excited! I got ready at my parents house and J. and the guys got ready at our house. It was so much fun to get our hair done at a long time friends  hair salon .  After that we headed over to my parents house to start getting ready.    Everyone was busy getting me ready and many people were up my dress trying to get my 'fluff' to stay up so I didn't have to hold my dress us when walking.  My dad was kicked out of the house until I was done. I wanted him to get the whole sh-a-bang when he walked in. This was interesting. I had to climb into the truck but was not allowed to step on the tailgate and I couldn't see my feet. It was so funny! It looks like we were going fast but we really weren't but that's how we got to the park.  THE CEREMONY! After all that hard work to make it so I ...
