A Great Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day yesterday and today. Yesterday we were in Loveland for my nephew's 8th birthday (tomorrow's post) and since we did a joint gift we gave it to my dad yesterday.

My dad and I have a contest every holiday to see if we can make each other cry. Not mean but just to see who can get the most sentimental gift or card. This year my card was good but he was able to hold it together but the calendar did it! He teared up while looking at his calendar I made just for him!

And the kids had a blast playing with Popa on the floor! This made us all laugh!

Then we celebrate today too. We spent most of our day just lounging around because that's what Miah wanted to do. Then we headed over to my parents house to have dinner. Mom and I cooked steaks, tater tots, salad, and corn on the cob. I'm proud of the picture below because Rex finally figured out how to eat corn on the cob! And he loved it!

He's so cute! I love his little faces he makes!

After dinner we ate some chocolate chip cookies. Rex really enjoyed them. Miah played with him and started saying, "Can I have your cookies please? Please let me have your cookies?" and Rex just kept laughing and laughing. it was so cute! There is a video at the bottom of this cute interaction between them.

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! Y3W: I'm Not Perfect

I'm not perfect. I think you already know that as no one is perfect on this earth even though sometimes people can look like it on the outside. I do post many things about the good things going on in my life because I would rather talk about those then dread on the bad or negative things. However today I'm going to make sure you know that I'm not perfect by a long shot. Since about last Wednesday (so over a week now)I have been struggling.
