Day 5 of 31 Day to Clean

So it is day five of my 31 Days to Clean by Sara Mae. I have been working on this for several days now because it's about priorities. This past week was also priorities in my Bible study group so I think God was trying to tell me something. My priorities lined up with Sara's and I'm glad that they do because I was able to decide pretty quickly what they are and what order they are in. What is taking me so long is that I'm creating a flip book on Heritage Makers that I can carry with me everyday and look at whenever I am feeling like my life is getting out of control. (I will share it when I'm finished).

My List of Priorities:
1. God
2. Miah
3. Rex
4. Home
5. My Spiritual Gifts
6. Personal Hobbies or Interests

I personally feel much better about my day and get much more accomplished when I have my priorities in line. One of my favorite things that I learned from my Bible study book (Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss) is that I do have enough time and energy to do the things that God has called me to do. The only time that I get frustrated and overwhelmed is when I add things to my list that God did not ask me to do.

God wants me to spend time with Him daily, in prayer, in His Word, and to call on Him when something comes up. He has given me a husband that I am to love and care for and be his helper. Genesis 2:18 says The Lord God said, "It is not good for man to be alone, I will make a helper suitable for him." God also provided me with a child that doctors said I would never have which I believe would have been true if I wouldn't have trusted God to give me what He promised me. Raising Rex and providing him with a loving and stable home and allowing him to learn about God, how to trust Him, how to rely on Him, is what my job. That job is made harder with Miah be angry with God but none the less it is my job and I will do what I can to fulfill it because Philippians 4:13 says, For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. He has also provided us a home to live in and I need to honor that by keeping it neat and to get rid of clutter that causes anxiety and stress that we are not meant to feel. The more things that I get rid of and the tidier my house becomes the more relax I feel and it makes my job easier to keep it clean and looking nice. God also gives everyone spiritual gifts to help others in this world. I am still discovering what he wants me to do but I will pray about it and make sure that I go where he tells me to. He called to create a Christ centered mom's group which I have done and in return I have made some very close friends that share in the same things I believe in and we are all working towards the same goals. It has been very fulfilling for me and I love it. I also have me personal hobbies. I don't believe that I should not pursue what I love doing and that is why I am apart of Heritage Makers because it is a fun and easy way to preserve our lives and to help our children grow up knowing who they are and that they are loved. I just love the look on Rex's face when we go and check the mail and we get new books. He loves to see that he is loved by all his family.

Priorities are so important to have in the right place. When they are not my world gets turned upside down and stress overwhelms which in return causes less patience for Rex which turns into yelling at him, it causes fights between Miah and myself and unnecessary conflict in our marriage. God did not create me to be stressed and overwhelmed and today I have felt both but now that it is peaceful and I'm rethinking where my priorities are I feeling relaxed and ready to complete me day and enjoy my time with my family.

I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house? Bass Pro Shop Winter Wonderland to visit Santa Three wise men gifts  One Santa gift plus the stocking Baking cookies at Granny & Great Popa's house Baking cookies at Grandma & Popa's house with cousins & then heading to the local fire department & police station to share with the men & women that keep us safe throug...

Y3W: I'm Not Perfect

I'm not perfect. I think you already know that as no one is perfect on this earth even though sometimes people can look like it on the outside. I do post many things about the good things going on in my life because I would rather talk about those then dread on the bad or negative things. However today I'm going to make sure you know that I'm not perfect by a long shot. Since about last Wednesday (so over a week now)I have been struggling. I haven't been doing great in my alone time in the Word, I haven't been praying like I was, I'm craving foods that I shouldn't and eating them instead of praying about it and have gained a few pounds back, I'm not doing great on the house work and I'm struggling in making the right decisions in my parenting as Monkey is entering into this new independent/I'm not listening stage. I know what has caused this struggle and I have been working on it but I have been doing alone and not letting God help me through...

WEDDING! Part 2: The Day Of

**Warning more Picture overload!** I couldn't help it! WEDDING DAY! (August 6, 2005) On our wedding day I was so excited! I got ready at my parents house and J. and the guys got ready at our house. It was so much fun to get our hair done at a long time friends  hair salon .  After that we headed over to my parents house to start getting ready.    Everyone was busy getting me ready and many people were up my dress trying to get my 'fluff' to stay up so I didn't have to hold my dress us when walking.  My dad was kicked out of the house until I was done. I wanted him to get the whole sh-a-bang when he walked in. This was interesting. I had to climb into the truck but was not allowed to step on the tailgate and I couldn't see my feet. It was so funny! It looks like we were going fast but we really weren't but that's how we got to the park.  THE CEREMONY! After all that hard work to make it so I ...
