The fishing derby was last Saturday and we drove to Loveland, Colorado to enjoy the day with my sister and all of her kids. The fishing derby by our house was the same weekend and it just made sense to do it all together. All the kids had fun although they didn't win the biggest or smallest fish contest.
They were able to sit back and relax when they were too hot from the sun and Popa or my sister would take over fishing for them. Popa mostly fished for Rex (neither Miah or myself are fishing type of people) and my sister did most of the fishing for my niece who is 9 months older than Rex. What did they do while everyone was fishing for them?
Well play of course! They ran around, played on the playground, and got into as much mischief as possible but that's what they are suppose to do.
After they were done fishing they took their fish to be measured. Like I said no one had the biggest fish or the smallest fish but they had fun and that is what really counts.
I love this picture! Popa, Daddy, and Rex walking with his fish. He looks so stinkin' cute carrying his fish! I'm sad that I missed this part. I had a Heritage Makers client to meed with and had to leave early. Since she lived in Loveland it only made sense to meet with her while we were already up there.
I love this picture too! I could resist putting this on up to share. Thank you mom for taking such cute pictures!
After all the sitting around the kids did while fishing they all had a bunch of energy to burn off so they ran and played and chased each other. I'm always so happy to see the cousins have so much fun together. It makes my heart full of joy. This is why God created family.
So I know you are probably thinking "Why did she add this photo?" but seriously I think it's cute and shows what mom's do all day, wipe noses, or something from our kids faces, hands, feet, where ever! Yes, my son has allergies and it caused him to make "The World's Largest Snot Bubble!" OK, so I may be crazy for enjoying this picture a little too much but I have to say that I was not there when it happened and everyone was snapping pictures. This one is the best one!
