Goal Update!

Well I'm not sure there should be an exclamation point up there because I haven't been doing so well. I still keep finding myself in this funk that I'm not sure how to fix but I'm trying.

I have only 5 more pounds to lose until I reach my pre-pregnancy weight!!! Ya!!! I only was able to workout 3 days last week but that's good still. I was able to drop 6 pounds in the week just by doing a little exercise in the morning and watching my portion size. So here's to another good week...that I have yet to do any form of exercise but I've been watching portion size!

Starting pre-homeschooling hasn't gone well either. I really can't make an excuse because I should just do it but I've been in this funk and it's leading me into vegging on the couch in front of the TV way to much during the day. Add a teething baby to the funk and I'm just screwed. So starting today I'm not turning on the TV! I will only do it at night when I'm nursing and I need to stay awake. Otherwise it's time with my boys and some computer time and book time!

Pilot is mostly on a better sleep schedule. As long as his teeth aren't bothering him he's in bed by 9:30 or 10 which means that I could but haven't go to bed at a decent time! So this is a bonus and hopefully will aid in my goal of waking up early to exercise in the morning!

I also have been doing great on couponing! I have saved my family about 40% of our normal shopping bill by just doing a little research and coupon clipping before I go shopping! I love it and it's so fun! I love seeing all the extra money that is in our pockets because of this! I can't wait until I get better! (I'm hoping soon to share with you what I'm doing but also check out my friends new blog Making Stay at Home Work as she shares things she's doing to make it easier for her to stay at home...she taught me how to coupon!)

So I guess after the first week I have done about half of what I wanted to accomplish  That isn't as bad as I thought. Now its just time to get the rest going on a regular basis.

Time to end this because I have little baby hands that are trying to share the keyboard with me :) I love being a mom!!!!

Holiday Traditions?

I'm so excited to be co-hosting with Melissa! I have been a long time reader & finally got around to co-hosting! I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house? Bass Pro Shop Winter Wonderland to visit Santa Three wise men gifts  One Santa gift plus the stocking Baking cookies at Granny & Great Popa's house Baking cookies at Grandma & Popa's house with cousins & then heading to the local fire department & police station to share with the men & women that keep us safe throug

My Pregnancy Story with Monkey

So I have one of those crazy "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories. Yes I didn't know I was pregnant until I was pretty far along but I will get to that.  In May 2008 we picked up and moved out of state. At this time we had been completely off birth control for 2 years and nothing. We also found out when we first started trying that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)  which basically meant "good luck getting pregnant". We decided that we would start the adoption process if we were not pregnant by the time we were 30 so we had a few years (still do actually! Yeah God!) So we were just enjoying life in Oklahoma and enjoying the small town life. Every Sunday morning we would walk down the street and enjoy breakfast at Selena's, we'd sit on our front porch and talk with the neighbors, and visit family in town at least once a week. Starting close to October I started feeling like something was wrong with me so I went to the OU campus in Tu
