TAT: How Has Life Changed?

How has life changed since I had a baby?

How hasn't it! People always say that life is never the same after a baby is born and I have to agree. So here are some things that have changed in our family.
  • I use to work now I stay home
  • I use to love playing with other peoples kids and baby's but now I just want to enjoy my time with my son.
  • I still love teaching (previous job) but now love it even more because I see what my child is learning.
  • My hubby and I are more cautious about how we talk to each other so we can set a good example for our children on what marriage should be.
  • My whole circle of friends. Now I'm friends with other mom's that stay home and have kids my son's age so they can all play together.
  • TV doesn't run our household. We spend time outside enjoying discovering new things to do.
  • Our livingroom floor is always coated with a layer of toys. I swear even after we clean up it only takes a few minutes for all the toys to reappear.
I love my family! I wouldn't change it for anything. I can't wait until Pilot gets here and we get to learn how to expand our family and I get to see him grow just as I am with Rex. I would take this life with kids any day over going to work and teach other people's kids all day.

  1. Staying home to raise my kiddos has been, by far, the best decision I've ever made. It hasn't always been easy on our pocket book, but I wouldn't trade the opportunity for anything in the world. We're a no TV family too:) Great post!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...

The ABC's of Our Family

I got a great idea from this lovely  blog  about doing a ABC photo book through out the year. Each week taking one photo that goes along with a letter. I have seen lots of great ideas for different photo blog ideas but all seem like to much work and something that I know I wouldn't be able to do. This one seems reasonable for our crazy life.  So to start off I have chose a great picture that I took of Rex and M playing together one day when he got home from work. Rex is so ADORABLE in this picture I just knew this was what I had to use! Plus I already know what I'm using for next week even though the picture hasn't been taken yet.  So here it is.......ADORABLE Rex playing with his Daddy! Oh I just can't get enough of this guy. Also as a little side note to how adorable he is...he kept posing for the camera once I got. He didn't care that Mommy was watching him play and wouldn't even look at me but soon as the camera was out he had to keep turning and...

Baby Bumpdate: Week 35

35 Weeks! That means only 5 left!!!! Holy cow!!! I think I'm starting to freak out just a little!!! How far along? 35 Weeks! Yea! How big is baby?  He's about 18 inches and just over 5 pounds. Weight gain? I gained a pound last week. Maternity Clothes?  Of course. I'm living in tanks right now because of the heat. Just wish I had more shorts to wear. Stretch Marks?  Nothing new. Just the ones from before and Monkey. Sleep? With this cold I'm not sleeping much. I'm getting a little better and able to sleep about 4 to 6 hours at night and then at nap time I'm able to get 1 or 2 more hours of sleep. However, I'm still exhausted especially because of the heat. It just drains all my energy. Even when I'm sitting in the shade under a fan. Of course it's only June so I'm not sure how this heat thing will effect me in July :/ Best Moment this Week?  Monkey kissing my belly before he went down for a nap. It was so cute. He ...
