WEDDING! Part 2: The Day Of

**Warning more Picture overload!**
I couldn't help it!

WEDDING DAY! (August 6, 2005)
On our wedding day I was so excited! I got ready at my parents house and J. and the guys got ready at our house. It was so much fun to get our hair done at a long time friends hair salon
After that we headed over to my parents house to start getting ready.
Everyone was busy getting me ready and many people were up my dress trying to get my 'fluff' to stay up so I didn't have to hold my dress us when walking.
My dad was kicked out of the house until I was done. I wanted him to get the whole sh-a-bang when he walked in.
This was interesting. I had to climb into the truck but was not allowed to step on the tailgate and I couldn't see my feet. It was so funny!
It looks like we were going fast but we really weren't but that's how we got to the park.
THE CEREMONY!
After all that hard work to make it so I didn't have to hold my dress up my dad steps on it (and we got a picture to prove it!) and pulls it down. For the rest of the ceremony and pictures I have to lift my dress whenever I walked.
AFTERWARDS
More people up my dress! Trying to fix it so I don't have to hold it up.
Groom: M Best Man: Mike Groomsmen: Big Mike (Mike's Dad), Uncle Mark
Bride: Me! Maid of Honor: Katie (red hair), Bridesmaids: Kelly (Mike's wife, far left), Censie (pronounces Kenzie, far right)
Flower Girl: Cherokee (Uncle Mark's daughter)  Ring Bear: My nephew Alex
This is by far the cutest picture! I love it!
THE RECEPTION!
Mr. & Mrs.
Our grooms cake had a plane on it because M loves planes. One day he still has the goal of having his pilot's license.
Our cake topper was from a garage sale. I love Dreamsicles and I saw this and had to have it. They were selling it because they got divorced. We were hoping that it wasn't full of bad luck but we are doing good so far.
My wedding shoes. I wore them the whole time and they were so comfy. They were just cheap flip-flops with crocheted yarn to make them look fancy. There were great. My mom surprised us with them. My girls wore them for the reception.
Right before this picture was taken M was making jokes about cutting the cake. He is always joking around!
I think he got the biggest piece of cake that he could grab before mom or dad could tell him no.
Alex's brother Dylan enjoying an equal size of cake.
Our first dance. We danced to "It's Your Love" by: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill
Father Daughter Dance! We dance to "Butterfly Kisses" and then before the last verse I had the DJ change it to "The Twist" because my dad and I always dance to that song anywhere we are that plays it. My dad kept saying "I got punk'd" even though he had no real idea what that really meant.
Hanging outside getting some air as things start slowing down. Just enjoying a few moments with my dad.
And some friends are blowing bubbles.
When all of a sudden Katie starts freaking out because she got a bubble in her eye. It's so funny that we got a picture of that too.
So that's it! Our whole wedding! It was a great day and we had lots of fun. I'm so grateful for my husband and the life that we have together.

  3. Thank you! We went out to dinner on Friday and then Dad wanted Rex over night on Saturday so we rented some movies and hung out at home. It was pretty laid back because our cruise is our anniversary present a month late.

Holiday Traditions?

I'm so excited to be co-hosting with Melissa! I have been a long time reader & finally got around to co-hosting! I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house?
