Changing My Lifestyle!

Well not only walking but just in general changing my lifestyle. I am currently overweight according to the doctors and the horrible BMI chart by 60 pounds. I seriously don't think that I will ever loose that much weight ever again. If I do great but not my goal because I want something attainable.

I have tried some many different things to lose weight and it just never works. Before I was pregnant I was right where I am now. My body has changed since I was pregnant but the weight is still the same. The good news I didn't gain anything after the pregnancy but the bad news is I still need to do something.

So I'm going through the Made to Crave book and I love it. I have decided to change many different things about my lifestyle. I want to be able to have the energy to keep up with Rex and enjoy my life and right now it just doesn't seem to be everything it should be.

So here is what I have started doing...I eat only things God created. Fruits, veggies, healthy meat. I do eat some grains but I try to make sure that they are healthy grains and I don't eat a bunch. The main reason why is because when I do I crave more and more. If I eat more fruits, veggies, and proteins than I seem to stay fuller longer and I don't crave unhealthy stuff.

I also started walking with a neighbor and/or a friend. Tonight was the first night I went out by myself. My hubby didn't like the idea much and made me carry pepper spray with me but I still went. I enjoyed it too! I did not want to go tonight but I asked my walking buddies if they wanted to come and it just wasn't working. With all the talking about walking I all of a sudden wanted to go and felt very bummed that no one could go with me.

I think every mom, especially ones that stay home all day, need time away and out of the house to just let their mind relax. I know that I'm a much happier and easy going mom when I get my walks in. Go Endorphin's!

I also lost 9 pounds already and it's been about a month! Go me! I also think this sets a good example for Rex in many ways which is my goal in life!

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
