Y3W: I'm Not Perfect

I'm not perfect. I think you already know that as no one is perfect on this earth even though sometimes people can look like it on the outside. I do post many things about the good things going on in my life because I would rather talk about those then dread on the bad or negative things. However today I'm going to make sure you know that I'm not perfect by a long shot.

Since about last Wednesday (so over a week now)I have been struggling. I haven't been doing great in my alone time in the Word, I haven't been praying like I was, I'm craving foods that I shouldn't and eating them instead of praying about it and have gained a few pounds back, I'm not doing great on the house work and I'm struggling in making the right decisions in my parenting as Monkey is entering into this new independent/I'm not listening stage.

I know what has caused this struggle and I have been working on it but I have been doing alone and not letting God help me through it or talking with my husband about it. He hasn't said anything about these changes in me and he's been super supportive as he knows something is going on.

To add more to it Monkey is really struggling with following directions which is partly age but I also know where this is coming from too and I'm not sure what to do about that either.

So here is my public promise to spend my time in the word today and everyday again like I was. It makes me so much stronger and gives me the answers I need for all the problems listed. I'm also going to make sure that my housework isn't getting put off (granted I have a mostly clean kitchen, a made bed, clean clothes, and even emptied 3 trash cans full of junk from our basement in the last week which is a huge accomplishment). I'm also going to work on figuring out how God wants me to handle my Monkey situation. I'm going to make sure that I'm seeking Him to give me the answers I need to make the changes that might need to be made. Also praying that He will give me the guidance that I need on what to do to help Monkey know the difference between being independent but still following Mommy's rules and directions.

Well there you have it. All my weaknesses for the past week that I have been struggling with! I will start doing better now and hopefully that means I will be lead about new things to blog about (haven't been blogging much because I didn't really have anything to say).

Wish me luck, say a prayer that things get better, share a comment about your life or just read and enjoy! Hopefully I will have some post in the next few days with some answers and an update for how I'm doing!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...

Week #2 on THM

Well it's officially the end of week 2 on Trim Healthy Mama! I have tried some more new recipes from the book and from pinterest and I'm having so much fun with it. I also order some xylitol online to save money. I didn't realize how much sweetener I would be using but when you can make sweets for any meal or snack through out the day you can use quite a bit. Favorite Meals this week E pancakes from the book! Yum! I added in frozen berries to them while cooking and they were great and the boys loved them too. They got to have the added whipped cream or syrup on theirs. Fat Stripping Frappa! OMGOSH! This is going to be my go to summer morning drink! I can see myself making one of these up first thing in the morning to get my day going and then enjoying a yummy breakfast 3 hours later. Soon as warm weather hits Hubby's schedule will be packed full daily so my mornings will start early, like 5am early! So having a breakfast at 8:30 will be perfect timing! Cheese ...
