Meeting Goose

Goose met a lot of people within the first 2 days of life. So many people couldn't wait for him to come out so they could hold and cuddle him.

Grandma (my mom) was there through the whole thing. She was the one taking pictures during birth.

After things settled down a bit we called my dad and asked him to get Monkey up and bring him down so he could meet his brother. He was so excited to get to the hospital to see him.

We were excited to see that he was smiling and wanted to see him and touch him.

Hubby helped Monkey up on the bed and we unwrapped Goose so Monkey could understand that he was a baby and not just a head. He looked him over and then asked about his belly button. We just said that it was just a little blood and it was getting better.

Popa (my dad) was very excited to hold him. He is a great popa and enjoys having his grandkids around.

Just a cute picture I had to throw in the mix. He's just adorable and looks like he's trying to smile!

Monkey was hanging out with Daddy watching cartoons and then wanted to see him again so we rolled the bed over and he just looked at him and touched his forehead and hand.

Aunt T came to visit while in the city. She doesn't live close but happened to be working in Denver that morning so she came by to visit.

After lunch and nap time Monkey came back to visit. This time we offered to let him hold Goose and he was really excited. He held him for a few minutes and then said he was done. I took him back and then he asked to hold him again right away.

Then right after I handed him over he said he was done again. He was turning it into a game and thought it was funny. Mommy on the other hand didn't find it funny because it wasn't so comfortable to keep bending forward to move Goose back and forth.

Another cute picture of him sleeping!

Aunt C (my sister) and family came down as well to meet Goose the next day. She couldn't wait to get her hands on him and kept saying she was going to try and sneak him out in her purse.

Cousin D (he never smiles good in pictures).

Cousin A

Uncle K. Cousin J didn't want anything to do with him so there are no pictures of her.

All the boy grandkids together! Tried to get all the grandkids but J wasn't interested in that either.

Granny (Hubby's Grandma). She was really hoping for a girl because we are one of the only grandkids left that are in child bearing years. Even though Goose isn't a girl she still loves and adores him!

Great Aunt C

Great Popa. He wasn't able to come and visit us in the hospital so it was a few days before he was able to meet him. He is one proud Great Popa of baby Goose!

This isn't everyone! We have had plenty of more people that he has met and the just adore him. I think that he might be one spoiled kid as he grows up especially because he's the last grandbaby on both sides of the family for probably another 10 years!

My Pregnancy Story with Monkey

So I have one of those crazy "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories. Yes I didn't know I was pregnant until I was pretty far along but I will get to that.  In May 2008 we picked up and moved out of state. At this time we had been completely off birth control for 2 years and nothing. We also found out when we first started trying that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)  which basically meant "good luck getting pregnant". We decided that we would start the adoption process if we were not pregnant by the time we were 30 so we had a few years (still do actually! Yeah God!) So we were just enjoying life in Oklahoma and enjoying the small town life. Every Sunday morning we would walk down the street and enjoy breakfast at Selena's, we'd sit on our front porch and talk with the neighbors, and visit family in town at least once a week. Starting close to October I started feeling like something was wrong with me so I went to the OU campus in Tu
