19 Week Bumpdate

Dear Baby,

Well it's now 19 weeks! Ya! I get excited each time a week goes by because I know I'm closer to meeting you! You are growing big time. I'm feeling you move almost every day now and you have started stretching already where you push against me and it makes me unconformable. I think it might be a long couple of months if this is starting already.

My day clothes are maternity and super comfy however I'm quickly outgrowing all of my bedtime clothes. This makes sleeping more uncomfortable which is equaling less sleep for me. I'm trying to figure out the best ways for me to sleep and be comfortable but nothing has helped yet.  With all this growing I'm noticing that I'm starting to get a new stretch mark from you. Your brother gave me some but it looks like you want me to have some from you too.

My food cravings are still pretty similar. Most things just sound gross to me. Dairy on the other hand always sounds good. I could drink milk and eat ice cream all day long! I could also eat spaghetti almost every day. Not just pasta, it has to be spaghetti noddles. I had this craving with Rex too. You both must be pasta kids.

Still don't know that gender but the date is getting closer. We will know for just a little bit before we share the news with family and friends at Rex's birthday party on the 31st. I will also be posting here on that day to let everyone know as well. The good news is that we have picked a boys name out but can't decide on a girls name. If you read this post then you might be confused. Yes we had a girls name but it just doesn't sound right anymore so we are back to the drawing board. We have decided to just think about it and then when we have are appointment we will talk seriously about it if you are a girl. If not then we won't have to worry about it. Rex has decided to name you Lizard. He wanted to have a baby lizard but I told him that Mommy can't have baby lizards so instead it is now your nickname.

This week I have decided that I miss being able to bend over to do dishes comfortably. It's slowly getting harder to do. On the other hand the best moment this week would be spending time with family. We did a zoo trip and Rex had a blast being outside. He got to spend all day Saturday with Grandma and Popa and then today we spent time with Great Granny and Great Popa. It's always so good to go see them and just relax and enjoy the time. They are all really excited for you to join the group and excited to find out if you are a girl or a boy. I guess I should say everyone is excited about that. I get asked several times a week when we are going back to the doctor.

Well that's all for this past week. I hope that soon I can share more of this experience with Daddy and that he can feel you kick soon. I know he is excited to experience that again.

Love,
Your Mommy

Holiday Traditions?

I'm so excited to be co-hosting with Melissa! I have been a long time reader & finally got around to co-hosting! I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house? Bass Pro Shop Winter Wonderland to visit Santa Three wise men gifts  One Santa gift plus the stocking Baking cookies at Granny & Great Popa's house Baking cookies at Grandma & Popa's house with cousins & then heading to the local fire department & police station to share with the men & women that keep us safe throug

My Pregnancy Story with Monkey

So I have one of those crazy "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories. Yes I didn't know I was pregnant until I was pretty far along but I will get to that.  In May 2008 we picked up and moved out of state. At this time we had been completely off birth control for 2 years and nothing. We also found out when we first started trying that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)  which basically meant "good luck getting pregnant". We decided that we would start the adoption process if we were not pregnant by the time we were 30 so we had a few years (still do actually! Yeah God!) So we were just enjoying life in Oklahoma and enjoying the small town life. Every Sunday morning we would walk down the street and enjoy breakfast at Selena's, we'd sit on our front porch and talk with the neighbors, and visit family in town at least once a week. Starting close to October I started feeling like something was wrong with me so I went to the OU campus in Tu
