Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Last Friday we headed out to the best pumpkin patch in Colorado, according to me at least! It's great because it cheap to get in and we get to take a tracker and trailer out to the fields and pick our own veggies. You can take 5 bags full of veggies home and a pumpkin just for the $15 to get it! It really is a great deal! Plus they have lots of fun things for the kiddos. Here are some pictures of what Rex enjoyed the most...

Rex is a huge cars fan. He loves the movie and anything with wheels that he can push around. When we pulled up he saw Mater and had to go and see him. As you can see he's super excited to be sitting on Mater. (He just walked by and said "I sit on Mater!")

He was able to see Lightning McQueen!

And Sheriff with his friends!

And Doc! He was just as excited to see Doc as he was to see Mater.

He was smiling and enjoying being in the pumpkins but the sun was so bright that I wasn't able to get a good picture. How sad :(

Picking corn. It was to tough for him to pull off but he tried.

Finding his perfect little pumpkin.

Had to sit in the plane and get a picture to show Daddy.

Daddy was so proud that he was able to see and sit in a plane.

The hubs would love to get his pilot's license and have his own plane one day.

The end of the day with his friends playing with little pumpkins. It really was so much fun and we will be going back to Miller Farms next year and hopefully each year after that.

Happy Father's Day!

Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...

I'm Thankful For...day 2

Today I'm thankful for the snow outside and the fact that it has kept my hubby home with us today and the fact that just using google and a few other blogs for ideas I was able to find out how to make a link up! Link ups are fun and I can't wait to read what everyone else is thankful for this month! Grab the button, link up, follow along or just read! It's up to you!

Week #2 on THM

Well it's officially the end of week 2 on Trim Healthy Mama! I have tried some more new recipes from the book and from pinterest and I'm having so much fun with it. I also order some xylitol online to save money. I didn't realize how much sweetener I would be using but when you can make sweets for any meal or snack through out the day you can use quite a bit. Favorite Meals this week E pancakes from the book! Yum! I added in frozen berries to them while cooking and they were great and the boys loved them too. They got to have the added whipped cream or syrup on theirs. Fat Stripping Frappa! OMGOSH! This is going to be my go to summer morning drink! I can see myself making one of these up first thing in the morning to get my day going and then enjoying a yummy breakfast 3 hours later. Soon as warm weather hits Hubby's schedule will be packed full daily so my mornings will start early, like 5am early! So having a breakfast at 8:30 will be perfect timing! Cheese ...
