Fever :(

Poor guy has a fever. It's not enough that he has stitches and now a fever and of course it has to happen the weekend that I'm going to be away. I feel horrible leaving him this weekend even it Miah is home. He's hardly been sick and when he was I have always been here to take care of him. I'm being over cautious and typing up his whole medical history just in case Miah has to take him to the ER this weekend since he probably won't be able to answer most of the questions because they are only ingrained in my memory. I know Miah will be great when he's here with Rex but it doesn't mean that Mommy doesn't feel guilty about leaving her little boy when he's sick.

So Rex won't take Mortin or any type of medicine to help with his fever either. So I headed out to Vitamin Cottage once again for help in this area and here is my review of their product.

Homeopathic Review

Ultima Kids! Replenisher, in other words Pedi-light powder. So I mixed it they way it said and he wouldn't drink it. I'm not sure if it is because he doesn't like it because he won't eat or drink any thing else. I will try it again when I need it and see if it helps.

Belladonna: to be used for high fever of sudden onset with perspiration. These are little balls that come in a not so user friendly container. Children and adults can take 5 to help reduce fever. Once I gave them to Rex his fever dropped faster than any time I have been able to make him take Mortin. It didn't make it go away but that's because he is still sick but it did help reduce it.

Hyland's Flu: to be used for fevers, chills, body aches that are caused by colds and flus. Rex took these with the belladonna to help with other discomfort he was feeling from being sick. Miah said that he could tell the difference when he gave this to Rex. He said Rex was more active than he was before and didn't seem as whiny.

The Belladonna and the Hyland's Flu worked great and there was no fighting to get him to take it! That was a major plus. It's not fun when your child is sick but then to force them to take something they don't like while they are screaming and they choke because of it makes it even worse. Gotta say I will use homeopathic things any day over medicine just because it's healthier for us but also because it requires less effort to get Rex to take it.

The ABC's of Our Family

I got a great idea from this lovely  blog  about doing a ABC photo book through out the year. Each week taking one photo that goes along with a letter. I have seen lots of great ideas for different photo blog ideas but all seem like to much work and something that I know I wouldn't be able to do. This one seems reasonable for our crazy life.  So to start off I have chose a great picture that I took of Rex and M playing together one day when he got home from work. Rex is so ADORABLE in this picture I just knew this was what I had to use! Plus I already know what I'm using for next week even though the picture hasn't been taken yet.  So here it is.......ADORABLE Rex playing with his Daddy! Oh I just can't get enough of this guy. Also as a little side note to how adorable he is...he kept posing for the camera once I got. He didn't care that Mommy was watching him play and wouldn't even look at me but soon as the camera was out he had to keep turning and...

Bikini Body Mommy Challenge Update!

So we are starting week 8 (I think). It's been a few weeks since I have officially sat down and updated on how I have been doing. Week 6 I did pretty good. The 4 am workouts were starting to wear on me so I decided to try and get a workout in after my hubby left for work but before the kids got up. Some days that went OK and other days not so well. I did however get several workouts in with the boys awake and they went pretty well. Monkey tired to join in with me and it was quite fun to watch. Of course he couldn't keep up with the workouts and took many breaks but it was fun to have him involved. This week I plan to do cardio days at 4 am in the gym because they are easier than trying to complete in the house. But for the non-cardio days I will do them in the house in the morning. That way I'm not completely exhausted everyday. Now for week 7. I have no idea even what the workouts were for last week. I didn't even look once! I have good reason though. My hubby h...

Baby Bumpdate: Week 35

35 Weeks! That means only 5 left!!!! Holy cow!!! I think I'm starting to freak out just a little!!! How far along? 35 Weeks! Yea! How big is baby?  He's about 18 inches and just over 5 pounds. Weight gain? I gained a pound last week. Maternity Clothes?  Of course. I'm living in tanks right now because of the heat. Just wish I had more shorts to wear. Stretch Marks?  Nothing new. Just the ones from before and Monkey. Sleep? With this cold I'm not sleeping much. I'm getting a little better and able to sleep about 4 to 6 hours at night and then at nap time I'm able to get 1 or 2 more hours of sleep. However, I'm still exhausted especially because of the heat. It just drains all my energy. Even when I'm sitting in the shade under a fan. Of course it's only June so I'm not sure how this heat thing will effect me in July :/ Best Moment this Week?  Monkey kissing my belly before he went down for a nap. It was so cute. He ...
