Our family consists of my husband, myself, and our son who is almost 2! We currently have two dogs, but are looking for a new home for them because moving is in our new future and possibly a lot of traveling. My hubby works for a roofing company and it now traveling for work and is gone 10 days and home for 4 days. It makes life interesting but at least he gets to come and visit and if he keeps traveling we will probably start going with him, but that's still several months away. So I stay home every day with our son and watch a little girl that is only 6 weeks older than him. I have to make sure and keep plenty of activities on our calendar to keep them busy or I will go crazy. I also run a Christian mom's group because I needed some like minded mom's to talk with and the kids really could use some other kids to play with. I love it! Everything right now is going pretty good. Don't get me wrong we have had our fair sure of problems throughout our marriage and parenthood so I'm just glad that things have finally go to a comfortable place of happiness. Not sure how often I will post on here but keep checking back until I get it figured out.
Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...
