My Birthday Too!

So only a few days after Monkey's birthday is mine and we celebrated by going to breakfast at the local Jimmy's Egg where I splurged at and some delicious pancakes with white chocolate chips and raspberry sauce...oh so yummy!

Then we headed to the local store and I went and got a few things that we needed, shampoo and conditioner (because once again No Poo is just not working but more on that later), chicken wings for dinner, and a replacement for my handheld mixer that broke. Daddy and the boys went looking for a gift for me.
Goose got me some very pretty tulips!
Monkey spent a very long time looking at all the necklaces trying to pick out the perfect one for me. This one comes with little colored birthstones to put inside for each of us. I told him that now we just have to convince Daddy to have 8 more babies so we can have one for each month. He liked the idea but Daddy didn't so much.
Sunbeam® Mixmaster® Stand Mixer, White
And since this mixer wasn't much more than a handheld one we spent the extra money and got a stand mixer. We will see how it compares to the Kitchenaid that I really want. But really it's more because of all the fun attachments that can go with it. Maybe one day I'll have $500 extra dollars laying around to get the mixer and even more for all the attachments I would like.

Then we headed home and the whole family took a nap. What else does a Mommy want than a nap on her birthday! Then I made myself some THM approved Hot Wings with some broccoli and cauliflower. It was delicious! Overall it was just a great family day! And then tonight my sister in law cooked a delicious meal with salmon, asian coleslaw and wasabi mashed potatoes. It was pretty darn good. She also made a creamed cake with cookies in it. I had two helpings and was stuffed after all the food I ate. Getting back on plan tomorrow! I thought I'd go ahead and just enjoy this birthday week! So much fun!

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
