I'm Thankful For...My Mom

Day 9

This is a post that I couldn't have written on the day...why? Well because I was dealing with a baby with croup & a 3 year old that was experiencing the stomach flu for the first time. Poor guy woke up around 2 am saying his tummy hurt. He has been saying this a lot to get attention since Goose has joined us so I just told him to go back to be. Well before he could turn around to head back to bed he threw up all over the floor! (Yep, lost the mom of the year award again) I felt horrible! I got him cleaned up, the floor cleaned up, & got him back into bed. A few minutes later while I was nursing he comes out saying his tummy hurts again. I put Goose down quickly which makes him start screaming because I interrupted his eating time, wake up the hubby on the way to the bathroom & try to get Monkey to stand over the toilet. When he didn't throw up I set him to bed with a trash can just in case & went to get my mom. See before we went to bed she offered to help me the next day if I was up all night with Goose. So instead she called into work since she was up all night with Monkey. She was great! She did everything for me. She didn't want me to be around him to much so that I wouldn't get it & I wouldn't pass it on to Goose. So far so good. Monkey has been the only one to get it in our house. We did find out we got it from the library because a friend we were their with came down with it a few hours after Monkey did. So today I'm so thankful for my mom & all the help she offers me on a daily basis but especially for this particular night & day that would have been so draining after having 2 weeks of sickness in our house.

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! Y3W: I'm Not Perfect

I'm not perfect. I think you already know that as no one is perfect on this earth even though sometimes people can look like it on the outside. I do post many things about the good things going on in my life because I would rather talk about those then dread on the bad or negative things. However today I'm going to make sure you know that I'm not perfect by a long shot. Since about last Wednesday (so over a week now)I have been struggling. I haven't been doing great in my alone time in the Word, I haven't been praying like I was, I'm craving foods that I shouldn't and eating them instead of praying about it and have gained a few pounds back, I'm not doing great on the house work and I'm struggling in making the right decisions in my parenting as Monkey is entering into this new independent/I'm not listening stage. I know what has caused this struggle and I have been working on it but I have been doing alone and not letting God help me through...
