And the Sex is...

Dear Baby,

Actually I guess I could say "Dear Baby Boy" because we have found out that you are a very healthy baby boy and decided to share the excitement with everyone this weekend instead of waiting a couple more weeks.

So yes we are now sharing the wonderful news that your Mommy, Daddy and Monkey are excited to add another little boy to the family.

We have been trying to get Monkey to understand that you are his brother and that you are a boy. He has been getting confused about all of the gender and sibling names. He does know that your name is Goose and will refer to you as "Baby Goose". It is super cute. We let Monkey share the news with Grandma and Popa and it was adorable. He didn't' want to tell them and then he finally said he was having a sister even though we practiced and practiced in the car. I quickly corrected him and let everyone know that you were a boy.

Everyone is mostly OK with the name we have picked. Of course there are a few that would like something not so different but we have told them they can't argue with us about it. I will share how we came up with the name.

First, I spent hours looking on the computer for names that I liked. I then shared them with your dad and he shot down every single one. A list of over 20 and he didn't like any. So I started the search again. That's when I found your name. I knew right away that was the name your daddy would love. I thought about it while I looked for more names and then shared the new list of names with him. Of course as soon as I reached your name he was sold. He loved it! So then came the talk about the middle name. I really wanted you to have a family name because Monkey has both of his great-grandpa's names but every name that we tried didn't sound right. Finally, daddy joked about using his dad's name who doesn't speak to us or even makes an effort to get to know Monkey. It was the family name though. Well of course it sounded great together. We kept searching and searching for another name for you and nothing seemed to work. So we thought and talked a lot about it and decided we didn't care if we used it. As of today we do not consider it as a family name. It is just something that we liked and chose as part of your name. Maybe one day your grandpa will come around and change his opinion of us and decide that he wants to know his grandkids and then maybe it will have another meaning. All we know is that is that we have YOUR name. We don't know why. God plans these things and we don't have control over it. Plus we both love your name. It just fits!

So today I'm feeling excited and ready to start the prepping for your arrival. We are half way there and I have a feeling these last months are going to fly by. So it's time to start getting ready! Today though we have other plans. Heading out to enjoy some nice weather at the zoo.

I love you so much!

Your Mommy

WEDDING! Part 2: The Day Of

**Warning more Picture overload!** I couldn't help it! WEDDING DAY! (August 6, 2005) On our wedding day I was so excited! I got ready at my parents house and J. and the guys got ready at our house. It was so much fun to get our hair done at a long time friends  hair salon .  After that we headed over to my parents house to start getting ready.    Everyone was busy getting me ready and many people were up my dress trying to get my 'fluff' to stay up so I didn't have to hold my dress us when walking.  My dad was kicked out of the house until I was done. I wanted him to get the whole sh-a-bang when he walked in. This was interesting. I had to climb into the truck but was not allowed to step on the tailgate and I couldn't see my feet. It was so funny! It looks like we were going fast but we really weren't but that's how we got to the park.  THE CEREMONY! After all that hard work to make it so I ...
