Today I'm thankful for potty training going well. Rex is doing great! We started again on Monday after having a major Parent Fail! Now we are off and running. He hasn't had an accident with peeing since Monday even in his diaper while at Popa's house. He only had one accident yesterday with pooping in his underwear which was not fun at all but it was more my fault because I decided to take a bath in the middle of the afternoon and not put a diaper back on him. He's doing great with understanding that he needs to go potty and he's holding it longer which is just fantastic! Today we are heading out to a mom's group to go play and I'm not risking underwear in public just yet but I'm going to just stay on top of it and hope that we can get him to go in public too and if so that means he would be almost completely potty trained at 2 1/2! That would be great! Then it would just be night time training which there really isn't anything that you can do to train that part. Just have to wait until their body is ready for it. Either way going from diapers all day (using disposables right now) to just at night would make a huge difference in cost.
So now it's time for you to share what you are thankful for! Grab the button, write a post, link up, share with everyone what you are so thankful for this month!
Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...
