Sleep Experiments

Hubby is having trouble sleeping so it's time to do some doTerra Essential Oil experiments on him!
We have tired...
  • Bergamot in the diffuser
  • Balance and Cedarwood  on the bottom of his feet
  • Lavender on bottom of his feet
  • Bergamot and Lavender in the diffuser
  • Frankincense and Balance on the bottom of his feet
  • Serenity and Balance in the diffuser
So far nothing has seemed to make a big enough difference that he's staying asleep all night. We thought that maybe being cold had an issue so we bought a new blanket for our bed. I made sure to dust and vacuum everything I could to make sure it isn't allergy related.
So what's next? I've done a little research and I have my next month's order from doTerra ready. So more combinations are on the horizon.
  • Ylang Ylang
  • Vetiver
  • Marjoram
  • Roman Chamomile
  • Helichrysum
  • Patchouli
These oils are suppose to be a great sleep aid in the right combination.. I'm really hoping we have it figured out before I put in my next order in a few weeks but in case we haven't we have a plan to continue to try. I know one thing for sure...I'm not giving up! Hubby works a very hard physical demanding job and if he's not getting enough sleep his body is suffering!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. The ABC's of Our Family

I got a great idea from this lovely  blog  about doing a ABC photo book through out the year. Each week taking one photo that goes along with a letter. I have seen lots of great ideas for different photo blog ideas but all seem like to much work and something that I know I wouldn't be able to do. This one seems reasonable for our crazy life.  So to start off I have chose a great picture that I took of Rex and M playing together one day when he got home from work. Rex is so ADORABLE in this picture I just knew this was what I had to use! Plus I already know what I'm using for next week even though the picture hasn't been taken yet.  So here it is.......ADORABLE Rex playing with his Daddy! Oh I just can't get enough of this guy. 12 Week Bumpdate

Yesterday we had our 12 week ultrasound and I enjoyed it so much! We were able to see our baby's face and she  (we didn't find anything out about the sex just hard to talk without he's and she's) had her hands up by her face. It was so cute. We also have a very stubborn child. The poor tech had such a hard time trying to get the measurements that she needed. She kept trying to get the baby to move. She had me move trying to get to the baby to move and nothing. So we were able to enjoy watching our baby on the screen for at least 20 minutes while she did her best to get the pictures she needed.  I'm a little bummed by the photo she gave us to take home. There were so many good photos where you could see so much and then right at the end she gave us a quick photo that isn't great but I will share it anyway. Like I said bad right.
