4th of July Recap

4th of July is a big family day for us. The park by our house has always had 4th of July celebrations that start with a bike parade for the kids. My sister and I have each won several years when we were younger and now it's time for the next generation to take over. My nephews have each won and my niece won last year and this year. Hopefully Rex can follow along and win in the next years.

 Daddy had to walk with him because he didn't quite have the pedals down yet.


Time to eat! BBQ! A 4th of July tradition!


 Yes the pregnant lady had to stuff her face!

 He had a blast throwing them at Daddy's feet.

Found a praying mantis in the field while waiting for the fireworks to start! (It is in the picture just really hard to see.)

He really enjoyed letting it crawl all over him...


however it made Mommy a little nervous the closer it got to his face.


Liked the fireworks but not the noise!

This is how close we were to the fireworks. No zoom! We found our favorite place to go for years to come!


He actually fell asleep during the show but it was right before the finale so he woke up for that because of the noise. Daddy had to carry him back to the car because he was to sleepy to walk that far. Mommy had to stop and the grocery store on the walk back to use the bathroom but the good part I got picked up instead of walking the rest of the way to the car.

Overall, we had a great 4th of July like every year! I'm so glad that we get to spend it with family and just enjoy time together!

Y3W: I'm Not Perfect

I'm not perfect. I think you already know that as no one is perfect on this earth even though sometimes people can look like it on the outside. I do post many things about the good things going on in my life because I would rather talk about those then dread on the bad or negative things.
