4th of July Recap

4th of July is a big family day for us. The park by our house has always had 4th of July celebrations that start with a bike parade for the kids. My sister and I have each won several years when we were younger and now it's time for the next generation to take over. My nephews have each won and my niece won last year and this year. Hopefully Rex can follow along and win in the next years.

 Daddy had to walk with him because he didn't quite have the pedals down yet.


Time to eat! BBQ! A 4th of July tradition!


 Yes the pregnant lady had to stuff her face!

 He had a blast throwing them at Daddy's feet.

He thought it was so much fun to use the broom!


Found a praying mantis in the field while waiting for the fireworks to start! (It is in the picture just really hard to see.)

He really enjoyed letting it crawl all over him...


however it made Mommy a little nervous the closer it got to his face.


Liked the fireworks but not the noise!

This is how close we were to the fireworks. No zoom! We found our favorite place to go for years to come!


He actually fell asleep during the show but it was right before the finale so he woke up for that because of the noise. Daddy had to carry him back to the car because he was to sleepy to walk that far. Mommy had to stop and the grocery store on the walk back to use the bathroom but the good part I got picked up instead of walking the rest of the way to the car.

Overall, we had a great 4th of July like every year! I'm so glad that we get to spend it with family and just enjoy time together!

WEDDING! Part 2: The Day Of

**Warning more Picture overload!** I couldn't help it! WEDDING DAY! (August 6, 2005) On our wedding day I was so excited! I got ready at my parents house and J. and the guys got ready at our house. It was so much fun to get our hair done at a long time friends  hair salon .  After that we headed over to my parents house to start getting ready.    Everyone was busy getting me ready and many people were up my dress trying to get my 'fluff' to stay up so I didn't have to hold my dress us when walking.  My dad was kicked out of the house until I was done. I wanted him to get the whole sh-a-bang when he walked in. This was interesting. I had to climb into the truck but was not allowed to step on the tailgate and I couldn't see my feet. It was so funny!
