Today's task in the making

Today I'm off to the nail salon (if Money ever gets up). It is my day to enjoy some Mommy free time :) I love spending time with Money but it is also nice to be able to get away for a little bit and enjoy some quiet time with just myself (and the nail tech). I'm super excited to go but now I just have decide on the color. Ugh! The choices. I was thinking green because of St. Patrick's day but I'm not sure I want green finger nails for a full month. I guess I could do the normal french tip because white is part of St. Patrick's day too but I'm not sure that I want to go that boring. I guess I will just have to get there and ask Bob what he thinks.
After these great decisions are made it's time for Monkey and I to hit the grocery store together so we can finally get some food in this house. It should be interesting to see what we can find that he will eat. That kid is so picky for me. I can't get him to eat veggies, he use to love pasta so I could sneak it in and now he won't eat that either. He sometimes eat meat but would rather just have bread and crackers. The thing is he loves salad and veggies at Grandma and Popa's house. He eats almost anything there. Plus he will eat veggie from anyone but me. I tried this experiment once when family was around and I would offer him a carrot and he wouldn't take and just tell me "No." I would then hand that carrot to someone else and they would offer it to Monkey and he would take it and eat it. He's such a stinker! So not sure how I'm going to be creative and get him to eat food for me but I guess I will figure it out. Now I guess I better get the cookbook out and figure out what freezer meals I will be making later this week (if I have time for that!)

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
