So here I am being the stereo typical housewife that has hired a cleaning to crew to come and take care of my house. No I'm not to lazy to get it done but I am pretty busy and the older Rex gets the busier I seem to get. So this past weekend while Miah was home his allergies were killing him. He could breathe in the house because of the dog hair lovely Sassie leaves behind. We think it was especially bad this week because the house was locked up for the whole 10 days he was gone since I was gone too. I tired all weekend long to get stuff done in the house to make it better but I over did it and now I'm out of commission because I irritated my back. (I have a love hate relationship with my back injury). I'm planning a yard sale for this Saturday and everything that I put outside on the yard will not be coming back in. Either I sell it or it gets loaded in my car and dropped off somewhere. Miah has been begging me to do this for years and so instead of asking me to get the house clean this week while he's gone (really really clean not just clean) he wants me to keep working on getting everything we don't need out of the house. He knows because of my back I can only do one or the other so he told me to hire people to help me. Ya! I'm super excited and can't wait to have my house sparkling! So Monday the cleaning people come and Wednesday the carpet cleaning people come and Thursday a happy and hopefully allergy free hubby arrives! Busy week ahead of me but this is the best birthday gift I could have gotten!
Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...
