So today is a crazy day. I probably would be more awake if I would have ate better yesterday and if I would have got up in the morning and worked out and did my morning routine but instead I decided to sleep in since my hubby was home. Since we don't get to see each other very often right now I figured that was more important. Of course I chose to do it on the day that I had a mom's group play date. I was running late to that and then forgot to pack snacks for my kiddo's and ended up having to stay later than I probably would have with being so tired. The good thing is that my hubby is home. He helped get lunch started while I was driving home and soon as he gets back from getting his new glasses I'm going to take a nap. Then it's time for me to hit the grocery store for some food for us this weekend. I guess I better figure out what days we will actually be eating at home since we have plans with family and friends. Plus I need to get started on the hub's laundry. Hopefully I can get it done before I have to pack for him to go back to AZ. With everything that is going on this weekend I will be shocked if I get everything done in time but we will see! Wish me luck!
Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. We can't sit around on the couch or on the patio talking and laughing together. This year we are 12 hours away from where I've always been for father...
