Happy Father's Day!

Today is father's day and most people are getting together and celebrating with family. Dads, grandpas and uncles all celebrating together the joys of being a father. Maybe getting a chance to relax and enjoy just sitting around watching the kids play and being surrounded with family. That's what father's day has always looked like for us. We would always gather at my parents house. First, with my grandparents when I was growing up for dinner and a day of enjoying being together. Then as I grew older my sister and I would make sure to spend the day with our dad. Then we got married and had kids of our own and the tradition continued. We would bring all the kids and enjoy BBQing at my parents house enjoying time together. This year things are different. We can't just jump in the car and head over for a BBQ. How I Took Back My Life From...Laundry! Part Two

Or number 4 if I can convince him to keep going? Plus our boys are going to keep growing wh...

Children's Books Read This Week

I'm always looking for good book suggestions for my boys. I love reading to them and Monkey is doing really well with reading books himself too. I figured since I'm going to start telling you about the books that I'm currently reading that I would share the books we are reading as a family as well. I didn't keep track of all the books we read this week but we have already got our library books for next week so I can share them at the end. Books Read This Week Charlotte's Web We've been working on Charlotte's Web for a few weeks now. I will read chapter to the boys while they are swinging on the swing set or while they are playing in the pool. It's a fun way to add in stories while they get their wiggles out too.  Mice Are Nice A great beginning reader book. As a level 2 book it offers some larger words to help your new reader stay challenged in their reading. Monkey likes this books with it's pictures and the ease of reading ...
