Holy Sweat Moly Update

Since my last attempt at working out failed miserably because of everyday life happening I haven't been doing much. Now that the warm weather is here I have been doing much better! Not with doing an intense workout video but with walking almost every day.

To add to it I found some great apps that are helping me along my way. I use My Fitness Pal to count my calories each day and I have found that during the week I'm pretty good and stay on track but when the weekend hits that's another story. Mostly because workouts just don't seem to fit in on the weekends. Each workout earns me extra calories for the day which helps out during the week. I normally don't use them all once I've added my workout in. So far this app has been great at helping me stay on track and seeing all the calories I'm consuming that I shouldn't be.

I also use endomondo, the free version, to help track how much I'm walking and the speed I'm walking. It has been really helpful. I discovered that I walk a mile anywhere from 16 minutes to 19 minutes depending on the day and how sore I am. I even walked just under 5 miles once last week!

And all this walking and calorie counting has paid off already! I have noticed my body changing already and I'm down 6 pounds! That is after the horribly high calorie weekend! I can't imagine what I can accomplish if I could work better habits into my weekends too.

But with all this great news I have some difficulties that are coming my way too. I was really enjoying walking in the morning and I was walking with a friend too which is always helpful. Well her husband got a new job so now she can't walk until the evenings and in 2 weeks we start sports which will take up all my mornings. Now I need to find a way to make evening workouts work in my schedule. This just hasn't been to be the best for me in the past so I really need to work hard to make sure that I stick with it.

Check back next week for another update about my progress and how I add workouts to my schedule!

P.S. If you have any tips I'd love to hear them!

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
