16 Week Bumpdate

Dear Baby,

I'm 16 weeks along and I'm enjoying most of the pregnancy. I have gained another 2 pounds but plan to slow it down just a bit. I haven't been eating really great because of the snow and what we have in the house. This week I will be using my new favorite website from How She Does It to meal plan healthy meals this week. This will help me eat healthier and help make sure you are getting everything you need without any extra weight gain for me. I have been craving Mexican food which I personally dislike passionately so it's definitely cravings. This will come into play when I'm making my weekly meal plan. Daddy is loving it too because he loves Mexican food and we hardly ever eat it.
I have been in maternity clothes since about 8 weeks. Mostly just pants. I can still wear most of my shirts that I always wear. My PJ pants are starting to get tight and uncomfortable so I'm hoping to be able to buy something that fits better and will last the whole pregnancy soon. Speaking of PJ's my sleep is getting better as far as sleeping mostly through the night however now I'm having very vivid dreams. Nightmares might be more the right word for that. Because of these dreams I'm waking up feeling very tired even though I'm getting 8 to 10 hours of sleep a night.
I haven't been able to feel you move yet although every night and sometimes during the day I lay still and hope for some little flutter. I'm hoping it will happen soon! We have decided that we will find out your gender and will have our ultrasound next month. We will not announce it until you brothers birthday at the end of March. We plan to have a shirt made that says "I'm going to have a little _________" and have him open it as a gift. I think all the family will be really excited to hear what you are. Right now most people are voting for girl. Daddy and Aunt M are voting for boy. Daddy because he's really nervous to have a little girl. Aunt M says boy because she was the only girl and she said it wasn't much fun to be picked on by all the boys. I'm hoping for a girl because I would love to buy dresses and have girl days when you are older but as long as your healthy I know we will all be just as happy!
My favorite moment this past week was celebrating Daddy's birthday. He turned 29 and it's shocking how fast things go when you have a little boy that keeps you busy and having a baby growing inside. I can't believe that we are ending our twenties already. Daddy had lots of fun out with Uncle Mike and then enjoyed dinner and a movie at home with Grandma, Popa, and our family.
We have another midwife appointment on Thursday and are very excited to hear your heartbeat again and know that everything is going good for you inside.

Love,
Mommy

I'm so excited to be co-hosting with Melissa! I have been a long time reader & finally got around to co-hosting! I can't wait to see all of your holiday traditions & I'm sure add a few to my list too! Holiday Traditions? What are those? I'm not sure we have any set up in our family. We never really had anything that we did every year growing up either. So I'm not surprised that we haven't thought about setting anything up for our kids either. Last year we tried doing the  Three Wise Men Gifts  but I of course bought more than just 3 gifts. So what is the plan this year for holiday traditions in our house? I'm taking the challenge!

I'm taking the challenge and I'm going to talk about the subject many people hush about! SEX!  Normally this would be completely outside my comfort zone (truthfully not sure I will post this as I'm typing) but I figure why not?!?  Being married makes it OK to talk about! We get so much from media that maybe it's about time that more people talk about the appropriated subjects of Sex!  First, let me start off by saying I did not wait until I was married. Looking back I wish I did because I have baggage, my hubby has baggage, and truthfully this subject has been the main topic of the majority of our fights for the past 5 years.  Just recently I started caring more about what I was wearing to bed just like  Mrs. T, Naturally  is talking about.  I'm sure must men would love it if their wives went to bed wearing something like this ------------------>  (I know my hubby would) however when you have little ones around (a...
