Before Our House was a House

This is house house before it was a house. It use to be a daycare. It had one bedroom with no closet (boys room), two bathrooms one with the laundry area in it (what we are converting into our master closet), then the main living space, living room, dining room, and kitchen.

So we have completed nearly all the construction. We've built walls, textured walls, painted walls and baseboards. We've built custom closets, a custom laundry room, and water heater cubby hole. We've built a hall closet to store board games, outside toys and miscellaneous bathroom supplies.

We still need to install our master bedroom door, put up all the baseboard and trim, move out A/C into a permanent hole in the wall, put in a backdoor since we removed the old one so the boys could have a closet. We still have to paint the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and some of the kitchen walls. We still need to finish unpacking our office supplies and homeschooling materials and build a pantry and patio. We need a coat rack and towel rack in the bathroom and some closet doors. We need new ceiling fans and lighting in some areas of the house.

But you know what? I'm so proud of what we have accomplished in just 3 weeks of being in Oklahoma! It's been just the hubby and I mostly working on the house. I've done all the painting in the WHOLE house. I've help hang drywall, tape it and texture it. I have unpacked and unpacked and organized for days now! If I had to be responsible for watching the boys and cooking meals it would have taken much longer but luckily my sister in law took a break from her house remodel and took on those responsibilities.

Our house is starting to look like a home again and I can't wait to show you updated photos soon. Of course I want to get a few more things accomplished before I take after photos.

But I will say this...painting is not something I will be completing for at least a month! I have used muscles in my hands I didn't even no existed with all the painting I did!

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
