Celebrating with my Dad!

My dad was so excited to celebrate some many years with having a A+ rating with the BBB for his company Rocky Mountain Contractors Home Remodeling Specialist Inc. that he wanted all of us to come and share his success.

It was 50's themed because the BBB was celebrating 50 years and Rex loved looking at all of the fun stuff and eating the good food. His favorite thing was the hula hoops and throw such a fit when we had to give them back that the lady let him keep one. This was a catch for me because I didn't want him to be rewarded for his outburst but I also wanted him to have fun. Now his hula hoop is an outside toy because I don't want him breaking something inside.

We were at Invesco Field and were able to set out into the stadium and look at the field. Rex was happy to be outside but all he cared about was playing with his hula hoop and the noise it made on the side walk. Popa was fallowing him around to make sure he didn't get into trouble.

We left there with so much 'junk' that Rex of coursed loved. He got 3 beach balls and thought it was funny when he would 'drop' them and the wind would blow this away so someone would have to go and chase it. Eventually it just got taken away because we got tired of running the opposite way we were trying to go.

I was really happy that Miah was able to be home and we at least got one good picture of all of us. Miah tends to make crazy faces in the first several pictures but then after I complain enough he stops.

Giving the Bronco a high five!

Rex really enjoyed having Daddy around to do the fun things like playing near the water while Mommy had a mini heart attack about him falling in. I guess that's why kids need both parents so much. I'm glad we are able to provide that for Rex.

All in all it was a great night and I'm glad we were able to be there to support my dad in his success!

The League of Incredible Vegetables: Movie Review

Picture borrowed from  Christian Film Database Another movie review! I was so thrilled when I was walking through Best Buy before Christmas and saw this  DVD sitting on the shelf. If you are a boy mom like myself you know that they love super heroes. I struggle to find age appropriated super hero movies for Monkey to watch. He loves Spiderman, Batman, Iron Man, ect. and he has not seen any of the movies/shows that go along with them. Wait...he did watch The Avengers with Daddy one day while I was out. I haven't seen that one so I can't say what I think of it for a 3 year old. Anyway, I love Veggie Tale movies! I think that they do a good job of teaching lessons to kids in a way that they understand and I love the lessons they teach! This one is great because it is about fear and how if you trust God fear can't freeze you. If you have kids, especially boys this movie is great! It helps them get the superheros they want to watch without the bad guys th...

Y3W: I hate drama!

I really consider myself and my life pretty drama free. I try my best to keep people that seek after drama at a distance because I really just don't feel like dealing with it. I have certain family that automatically causes it but you know they are family and there isn't much you can do about it but set up boundaries to not allow it to affect your daily life. Which we do! I love all my extended family but sometimes, seriously, just grow up, stop acting like the world revolves around you and get over it. You children have their own families now! Anyway! After dealing with more family drama (disclaimer: the person I'm talking about would not be reading this so if your family and you are it's not you that I'm complaining about :) then I get a nasty note from a neighbor who is just plain being rude. And I love how they waited until I left before putting the note of the door. I haven't had a car for almost 3 full months and this week my hubby finally got his motorcy...
