We all have our secrets but homemakers, housewives, whatever you want to call us are sometimes in a league of our own! We have the perception that we sit around and eat bonbons all day, (man I wish that was true) but we are normally very busy raising our little ones and sometimes secrets just come with that terriorty. But today on Growing Up Geeky's Toddle Along Tuesday we are sharing some of those secrets with you. Come along and share with us what you keep from everyone about your daily life ;)
- Showers have become a luxury and not a routine of everyday! The times that I get to shower when Hubby is home I take loooong showers whether I hear the baby crying or not. I think I deserve it after a long day and I think he deserves to care for a crying baby once in a while.
- I love that my boys are on the same schedule for nap time! Why is that a confession? Because I don't mind staying up until 11 or 12 with him until he goes to bed at night. I don't mind being exhausted a few days a week from having too many 4 hour nights sleep. I miss going to bed with my hubby but I LOVE having at least an hour to myself in the middle of the day to do whatever I want to do!
- I spend one day a week busting butt to get the house clean so I can slack off the rest of the week!
- I love cooking for my family but hate the planning and shopping! I wish that I could hire someone to do that for me :)
- I repeatedly forget things when I go to change Goose's diaper so I quickly run and get what I need leaving him on the changing table. I'm just glad he has yet to roll himself off but I know that the time is coming that he will or I have to stop leaving him there.
- I enjoy having PJ days everyday that we stay home and I only change when I get that lucky shower or I get a text saying my hubby is on his way home. I have been known to hear him come in the door and run to the bedroom to change before he gets downstairs :/ Don't tell!
- I prefer watching children movies & cartoons to regular TV. Well as long as they are age appropriate I can't stand most of the junk that is on the TV these days. Man, I feel old saying that :)
- I really hope that God gives us more kids even though Hubby is completely done. I love being pregnant. I love being a mom. And would love to have as many kids as Michelle Duggar. Well maybe not that many but I could handle a few more in our house!
Ha, I have to leave both kiddos on the changing table quite often. Eeek! Nothing bad has happened...yet ;)
ReplyDeleteOH my, this is me as well! I'm always in my PJs or yoga pants (I've never done yoga in my life) and if we're not going anywhere, footed sleepers it is!! Enjoyed the laugh!
ReplyDeleteToday was a PJ and work day! Still not dressed and need to go to bed ;)
